.410 BSA
About a month ago I posted a question about this 1918 No.1 Mklll* .410 that has the Fultons stamp...well I bought it. The forestock and front handguard does have a cork inlay along the bottom of the forestock . The front handguard has a cork inlay close to the front thats about 3inches long . Theres also 2 spring barrel supports in the fronthandguard.

No Ishy screw and the rearsight is still fully functional.
Stamps under the rear handguard has .410 inside a diamond and BNP at 3 1/4 tons per square inch ( 18 ton per square inch has been lined out )and 2 1/2" for shell size.
Very heavily varnished , but stocks look in pretty good shape . The serial numbers don't match except for the receiver and forestock so likely the entire stock is original to the gun .
All in all , I'm pleased with my purchase so far . I've already stripped the varnish off and gave it a thin wipe of BLO . The test fire will be this afternoon using 2.5" Winchester #4 shot and I'll post more picts .

" It's not the pipes , Laddie , It's the piper ! "
Nice looker Dan, glad you've stripped off the varnish.
Aye its a Fultons regulated, cork bedded .303" thats been bored out to .410" and reproofed, barrel was either shot out or someone wanted it off their ticket as it was done in the UK, those are British Nitro Proof markings for .410".
Could be worth rebarreling that one.
