small wet towels...

Things a soldier would carry other than firearms, ammo, or uniforms. Meaning equipment such as ammo pouches, bayonets, holsters, oil cans, cleaning equipment, etc.

small wet towels...

Post by spearedum » Thu Jul 21, 2005 1:06 pm

.. that I always carried to cool off the HOT, HUMID climate of Nom. Every time I'd cross a stream or patty, I'd wet it and wrap around my neck. Then, as I humped the hills, the wet cloth

would drip and cool a small section giving a (+) aspect to help aleavate the horror.

The towel was not issued, but with the exection of the monsoon, this towel allowed ME to keep on keeping on! The water running down my back and down my chest was as close to heaven as any-other time in that hell-hole... on the other side of the pond.

thanx Dante'

yes it is anything issued is counted also if you draped it over your head it kept the bugs at bay till they figured out how to get under it.
