Didn't really know whether to put this in here or other hobbies. At least they're L-E bayos.
Well, I've finally gotten fed up with my bayonets languishing in a box on the shelf so I've started building some display cases. This is the first attempt, a grouping of P-1888s. Ultimately the box will have a glass front to keep down the dusting chores. Any criticisms or suggestions gratefully taken on board. And yes, I know the bottom bayo is a P-1903 not a P-1888 MkIII (although is is a converted MkII). The reason is because I don't have a MkIII. If anyone has or knows of one for sale in any condition, please contact me.

Impressive collection , the first bayonet I ever bought in 1970 age 15 was one of those I was told it was a Metford bayonet , sadly sold them all many years ago to help finance the mortgage , now I have been thinking of collecting again .

Very nice. Brilliantly simple idea for holding them on the board. I'd love to try that.
Other than the glass, which you've mentioned already, I can't think of any suggestions.
Although, depending on how many you will end up with, you could build a frame against a wall that the cases just fit.

very nice , i very much like the way you are lableing them [even if that P1903 is missmarked ] the glass yill be a very nice touch - and prevent the unwanted touch those who view almost inevitably wish to perpetrate ,
and so much more compact and portable than mine , but i wanted mine with the rifles they go with as i collect them as an ancillary item , i do love them tho ....

Thanks for the kind words. As noted in the text the 1903 was a place holder. I was still at the "proof of concept" stage when I posted that picture. Since then I have acquired a MkIII, installed the glass and hung it on the wall. I like your set up. I needed a place to get the bayos out of boxes.
