Wish list?

Post by aprayinbear » Tue Jan 03, 2012 9:08 pm

Now that the holidays are behind us and the new year is ahead, have any of you been thinking about a gift to yourself. Which gun or accessory is next on your list?

I want one of these. I mean the 1911 R, not the magazine. I can afford the magazine. The pistol is another matter.

Baker.......................................
http://www.militaryheritage.com/baker.htm

Although I have an original 1812 split stock Baker it is far too valuable to shoo but I would love to own one of these so I could play with it.............................

I did ask Davide Perdosoli to consider making one when I visited them last September but perhaps it would be too much work for them. So far I haven't heard anything :( :(

Duncan.

This might seem a silly idea, but have you tried contacting Napoleonic Re-enactors?

There are several groups representing the 95th and 60th Regiments and they have to get their rifles from somewhere (they certainly don't use originals).

Just an idea.

Hi Tom.
You can buy an Indian pattern Baker 'Shotgun' in .650" from Henry Krank for about £520.00 but I am not sure who makes them. Anyroadup, I want the proper rifle, not a smooth bore. At the moment however I don't have 5/9d to rub together :( :(
