Went to a gun show today. Usual heavy crowd. But this time, unlike same show last year, lots of C&R guns. You name it, they were there. No. 5 Enfields, NEW Mosin Nagants, fortyleven versions of Mauser and Nagants. Plenty of black guns and AK's and $300 and above SKS's. Boat loads of pistols of every vintage. Not like they were giving them away though. There were an above average number of actual historic BP guns too at relatively resonable prices.
I saw a few that interested me ...but I was determined to not spend anything unless I got really excited about anything... and I would have had to come back with some money since I only had about six Jackson's in my wallet.
I did take a couple of snaps of a couple that drew my attention. One was a Type 99 Jap trainer. No arsenal marks at all. No mum. no serial number but "44". The guy was asking $150 for it and I was in luck since I only had the $120 in my pocket and didn't make him an offer and didn't attempt to buy it. I found a video with one the spitting image of it.

Another gun that almost got me to go find some more money was a Calvary carbine of the 1858 model Enfield. Came with the hinged ram rod and the sliding tiedown on the off side. Had the Crown and VR stamp. No telling about it's history but I was tempted at $425. That's less than a reproduction.
