Darell scope mount help please

Iv got a Darell scope mount for my mosin nagant Im thinking of fitting it. Id like to know if anybody has any experience with these mounts and if anybody could suggest a suitable scope prefferably one that dosnt look out of place on the nagant.

Darrel showed me an example he was on the way to the range to try out a few years back. They really look substantial and do not harm the rifle because of the way they are attached using the pin for the original sight.

Can't say that I remember what kind of scope he had on it, but I did note that it was really substantial and would probably support pretty much anything that would attach.

I have one of his mounts on a 91/30. I have a set of Weaver mounts and thus anything LER that can attach to Weaver-style mounts can be used. My scope is a cheap Chinese import and functions accordingly I use a 4x Long Eye Relief scope since my eyes are at the stage where they can use all the help they can get!

The mount will NOT be the issue....simply what scope you think would work best for you. One HAS to follow the installation directions when attaching this mount. One would think with 3 brass set screws you couldn't go wrong....but it only works assembled ONE WAY!
