I think the Aussie equivalent might be using an original Mosin-Nagant with milsurp rounds and bayonet fixed. We would frown on FMJ and bayonet but not pay attention to the rifle. In fact, most hunting in Australia is in the nature of pest destruction; spotlights and semi-autos were and are perfectly...

Really, don't make the mistake of thinking it's as bad here as in the UK. Not having semi-autos is an inconvenience, but it is easier than the UK to get most kinds of good firearms, and pistol shooting is still legal. If you buy a farm with a serious pest problem, or establish a bona fide feral pest...

???? All I found was a tirade on the defense industry and its relation to the Department. OK there it is... page 58 or so. I did a search for 'firearms'. Bob Brown grabs a little attention in Question Time, and the Government uses it to boast about their own useless efforts. The part of interest is ...

If you breed gun dogs you need to be where lots of people are who want the gun dogs, so I suggest Victoria or NSW. Here in WA, there is a ban on duck shooting so shotgun hunting is a fraction of what it once was. The laws in general will allow you far more latitude than UK laws, but WA is more hosti...

Yes, except... all the hardworking professionals that do a good job and get screwed by space, prejudice, subeditors and canned angles. Michael Yon for instance is excellent. I believe even in Al-Reuters and Agence-France-Presse there must be decent people who don't deserve a hasty execution. Its the...

The real reason for massacres...
I wrote this article before the current rash of contagious shootings. It seems to be borne out.

I think it would be of great interest if it were for re-worked Mk1* rifles complete. I am keen to have one one day, myself. If I were producing a dream LE I would make them not 'military arsenal standard', but to a badge-engineered private purchase standard. When I think of that Purdey Martini .303 ...
