Interesting enough, he did not use corrosive ammo, the barrel is in very good shape, some remains of green primer sealer on the bolt face show, he used PPU ammo of modern manufacturing.

I had a spare M91 handguard and an old NEW M91 stock, on which I practised Stock cleaning some years back.
Reoiled it, fit the finn sling slot plates to it, and opened up the barrel channel in the front part.
Some shims under the action and some filing on the fingers of teh handguard.
Traded an nice M91/30 cleaning rod for the correct M91 rod and installed some old wire sling hangers.
Ah, yes, found a nice =S= stamped muzzle protector at the Stuttgart gunshow, seems like the m/24 deservs it:
I know, the rifle will never be in original configuration again, but this is as close, as I can get with the parts from my "armory".
